Lily the Labradoodle's Very Short Reign as an Obama
In my post the other day, I meant the Obamas should get a labradoodle – like Lily – not get Lily. Looking at this picture it is quite obvious why they specifically wanted Lily. Just look at her. Clearly this is a dog who should be in the White House.
Fortunately, Lily detest train travel, and made her escape from Delaware yesterday afternoon when no one was looking. Biden’s labradoodle had tried to get all alpha on her, which was the linchpin in her decision to hitch a ride on I-95. She returned home safely and no worse for the wear, sometime in the middle of the night to South Carolina.Thankfully, the Obama family has a few other things going on this week, so only a few tears were shed upon discovering her quick departure.
Just in case anyone’s asking, I think the Obama’s should contact IDOG where they will learn a few things that are contrary to what I’ve seen in the media this week about labradoodles and their availability. In fact, there currently are many labradoodles (as well as other dogs, both purebred and not) across the country that for various reasons in these difficult economic times are looking for good homes.
The Obamas may have to be just a little more patient to get just the right dog given that Malia has those pesky allergies. But, as I tell myself when shopping and about to stick my foot into a pricey display shoe, “there will always be another pair of shoes.” In the same way, there will always be another puppy.

Clearly, Lily is the right choice. But, she’d just be too sad without you! And, Biden’s dog… no… Lily’s best off with her mama.
I gave you a shout out on my sunday salon today.
have a good one!
Lily is gorgeous!!
Love the photo…
I want a labradoodle or a goldendoodle…but my husbands says no!
