Thanks so much to Lola at Lola’s Diner for the Life is Grand award. Lola’s blog itself is grand, and I’m very grateful to her for thinking of me. Be sure to stop by Lola’s place sometime and check it out for yourself!
Grand has always been one of my favorite words. Can you tell by how many times I’m using it? I can think of no better way to remember what a kick in the pants life is than by using “grand” often.
So my life would be a little more grand if I could have a grand piano like the one in the award badge, but I’m not complaining. Grandness can be found anywhere.
Here are the five reasons I think life is grand right this minute:
1. My daughters (and Lily the Labradoodle) love to play the piano.

2. Because, as E.B. White said, “No matter what changes take place in the world, or in me, nothing ever seems to disturb the face of spring.”

3. My bathtub is divine and sometimes I even use it.
4. I have good friends who traveled a long way to see me last week.
5. I get to walk on the beach whenever I want.
May your life be filled with unlimited grandness. Thanks again, Lola!
I pass this award on to the following blogs:
The Girl Next Door at Next Door to My Ex
Dory at Can’t Remember Diddly
Sheri at A Novel Menagerie
Shawn at The Shark Tank

Thanks! Those sound like some great reasons to love life. Especially the piano playing dog.
I am so jealous! Living that close to a beach is my ultimate dream.
I find you grand.
Awwww… Lily and your Labradoodle look so happy! What a wonderful picture. What is your dogs name?
Yeah Margo! I like grants too. Government grants are hard to get, but they help with all sorts of things. Permission grants are lots easier to obtain and they really grease the skids so I can slide on through. Yes, grants are just…um….oh. You said grand?
Never mind.
Shawn, The piano playing labradoodle is the grandest of all, huh?
Beth, you live in a beautiful place too, but no beach, I take it. Sedona is one of my favorite places to visit. Maybe we can trade places sometime.
Vic, You too!! xxx ooo
Marie, Hi and bienvenue! (hope I spelled that right). That’s my 16 year old daughter with my labradoodle who is named Lily. She is cute, and very talented
I’m looking for some more old postcards so I can participate in Postcard Friday again! That was fun.
Humorsmith, I grant you permission to grandly poke fun at my grandiosity anytime
Granted, I sometimes throw grand tantrums.
Thanks for visiting our blog…neat site you have.
