Everybody Now! Do the Zombie Chicken Dance
Thanks to the sweet, intelligent and hilarious Staci of Just Bloggled: When Life Gets a Little Baffling for giving me the Zombie Chicken Award. It turns out that this award has nothing to do with poultry. In any case, I think you’ll agree that this award deserves an award for being the best named award so far in 2009.
“The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken – excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all…“
After several sleepless nights spent giving thought to zombie chickens and their potential wrath, I give this poultrified honor to some old (meaning, what, like 2 months?) and new favorite blogs:
Fiona at The Bantering Blonde
Laurie at Living in the Frat House
Pricilla and the Publicist at The Maaaa of Pricilla
Wendy at On the Front Porch/Musings of a Southern Belle
Whispering Writer at Airing My Dirty Laundry One Sock at a Time
.WOOF Contest – Top Picks
Poetry
zorlone – “Almost a sin?” – A borrowed experience from a good friend which I turned into a poem. The main character asked this question in the end.
Dragon Blogger – “Lovers in Bed” – Another poem of passion between a couple.
Jennifer M Scott – “A Bad Night for a Poet” – I think the title describes it all, perhaps not my best work but it is genuine for what I am feeling at this moment.
Non-Fiction / Personal Memoir / Personal Essay / Philosophy
Dina Tibbs – “Kicke Out Of Kindegarten” – Memoir of my early years being raised by hippies.
Deeptesh Sen – “Dance at Dusk” – It was an experiment with the higher truths of life and profane religious thoughts engendered in this tormented world where only HE can save us again.

From one old friend to another … thanks! Chicken dancing is fun, i’ve never tried zombie chicken dancing though. Will have to report back on how that goes! lol
Hi Margo! Thanks for the award! I never did see your original post but I do appreciate getting the Zombie Chicken!
We are getting chickens here on the Farm in May. I really hope they aren’t zombies. I will get worried if they are.
Thanks for the award. I will have to ruminate on it for a couple of days…
Woohoo, thank you for the award!
And now I’m craving chicken. Mm, KFC.
Way cool and Congrats! I’m glad I wasn’t chosen as my blog is a 100% Zombie Free Zone. [har har]
Who knew zombie chickens had such fine qualities? I feel I’ve learned a little something here today.
