Postcards Eventually Do Arrive

pff

Finally! Husband’s been home for a couple of weeks and we finally got the postcard he sent from Russia.  I took its arrival yesterday as a sign that I should participate in Marie’s Postcard Friendship Friday.

Apparently my husband withheld an important piece of information. I guess he didn’t want to spoil the postcard.

Hello Family,

How do you like my hotel (pictured on front). I found that the BLANK family was royalty in Russia in the 1700s, so they booked me in our old palace, The Terem.  Nice. Miss you all, see you Friday.

If they don’t have Google in the former Soviet Union  – or any related products, past, present or future -  I plan on leaving for Russia immediately. Next time you hear from me it will probably be from my new palace in Moscow.  It looks very nice, but needs window treatments. If it turns out to be a money pit, I’m hoping to be able to use some crown jewels as collateral to get a low interest home equity line.  I hope it’s air conditioned! And has wireless service!

They probably have Google though.  So never mind.

I’m extending the bracelet giveaway until at least July 3, so I can be sure we’re all part of the same ole’ love in. Be sure to enter!

Have a nice weekend! I’m not buying lots of stuff these days, and will post something on Monday.  Can you imagine the things I will NOT buy for my new castle? Stop Buy! (sorry,  I blame my own bad puns and wonky behavior on all around wonkiness which is the internets.

It’s amazing how long it takes for mail to arrive sometimes. So, Royalty, huh? Congrats!!! :)

Maybe his card got misdirected to your old site?

Nice hotel. Never been to Russia, but it’s on my (incredibly long) list.

Yeah, yeah, I’m a descendant of Royalty too, one of which is William The Conqueror (along with about ooohhh 20 million other people). So, where’s my money? [lol!!] :o ))

Happy PFF pal! :o )

all my mother would say is: “Do you know how much it would cost to heat that place?” the one reason she claims why we never lived in a big mansion

Interesting. Did your husband say he was the one who blanked the family’s name out? Because I’m wondering if it was Soviet censors who did it. So how did he like the castle? It looks grand.
