When we left DC for the East Bay almost three years ago, after what felt like a particularly grey winter, I was looking forward to no more snow and ice. And I kind of like life without it — though we may “visit” some snow this winter for the kid. When it got frosty in the Bay Area one night last week, I watched one person spray off the frost on her windshield with a hose! Hah.

Yup, we’ve had a lot of snow.

And we might get more Monday. I don’t mind snow, I just hate driving in it.

Yes, here in South Carolina we had a thunderstorm…with lightening…and we have a belief that if that should happen in December, then ten days later it will snow…but then again, certain of us (not me, thank you) believe in coachwhip snakes that hold their tail in their mouths and chase you down…rolling end over end…now, if it does happen to snow on December the 15th, I will be no doubt be dodging snowballs…and snakes!

Here in the Memphis area, we get very rare snow unfortunately, or I would be hurling them right alongside her. lol

We’re complaining here in San Francisco, and it’s only dipped a little before 40. But a few days with the temperature never above 50, and we go nuts. We’re all weather wimps in California.

If you needed to get out of the house in my neighborhood and didn’t have the muff, hat and heavy coat, you’d freeze instantaneously.

Margo! I loved this post! In truth, it’s really more of a delightful short story. You really are one of my favorite writers. I love coming here and reading about what you take in with your senses, as it’s always so different than what I take in with mine, and thoroughly more entertaining. I want to meet this lady! Oops, I think I already know her.
