Isn’t “here” one of those weird words that looks like random strung together letters after being used several times?

A couple of years ago she was diagnosed with Adult Attention Deficit Disorder. This pleases her no end because her inability to ever finish anything now comes with a doctor’s note. She is a former journalist and magazine editor, who when asked what she’s up to these days, now proudly replies that she is struggling with closure.

Besides her family, her favorite things in life are laughing uncontrollably, 70 degree weather, the rare book that one wishes will never end, and getting into conversations with equally contrary people.

When her blog and real life don’t get in the way, she is working on a book about her recent diagnosis with adult attention deficit disorder and a novel. Ignoring the strange looks she, the person who struggles with closure, gets when she says this, has become one of her greatest strengths.

Mostly, Life in the Short Lane helps her avoid housework and going to the grocery store, both of which she detests.
